The internet matrix is full of misinformation. Here are some tips to keep you from falling down these shitty rabbit holes, which are less Alice in Wonderland and more port-o-john in the woods.
- Don’t believe everything you read on the internet. If you read something that sounds like it needs sources, look up those sources! See if the same information is posted on reputable websites, like NPR or Media Matters. Basically, if it’s a news source Donald Trump hates, it’s probably reputable!
- Stay away from anything talking about the New World Order or globalists or George Soros. Those are antisemitic dogwhistles, and anyone who uses them are not to be trusted!
- Watch Last Week Tonight’s episode on Conspiracy Theories. While it focuses more on Covid 19 than QAnon, it has great practical tips to keep you from falling for these conspiracy grifts and saying “Deep State” with anything resembling seriousness
